After completing his studies at the University of Cologne, he initially worked as a research assistant at two nationally active commercial law firms in the areas of corporate law, M&A, and venture capital. During that time he wrote his dissertation on a topic at the intersection of corporate and transformation law. Dr. Poot subsequently completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne.
